Hearing Aids – Equipment Used with Hearing Aids

ReStore Hearing Aid Dryer: This electric device is highly effective for removing moisture, humidity, and perspiration in hearing aids.  Used nightly, the hearing aid is placed in the case, and the gentle warming action of the case evaporates any moisture that is trapped in the hearing aid.  Regular use of it will increase the life of your hearing aid and reduce the need for costly hearing aid repairs.  It is ideal for anyone who works outside, is very active, or who is prone to perspiration.

Mini Super Dri-Aid: Although less powerful than the ReStore Hearing Aid dryer, the Mini Super Dri-Aid utilizes silicone crystals to draw moisture from your hearing aid.  It consists of a portable jar of silicone crystals that you insert your hearing aid into every night to reduce the damaging effects of moisture to your hearing aid.  The crystals can be reactivated using a conventional oven or microwave every 3 or 4 months.

Clean Aid: Clean Aid is the perfect solution to clean and deodorize your in-the-ear hearing aids or earmolds for behind-the-ear hearing aids.  This 1 oz. spray bottle is easy to use and convenient for travel.

Eargene: Eargene is a soothing over-the-counter cream used to relieve ear itching and for over-all ear hygiene.  Patient’s who use this cream swear by its cooling, soothing effects!

Oto-Ease: This is a greaseless lubricant used to ease the insertion of new hearing aids and earmolds.  Oto-Ease also makes it a lot easier to insert hearing aids and earmolds when dexterity is a problem from conditions such as arthritis.  Because only a small drop is used, this bottle will last a lifetime!

Telephone Ear Pad: This foam pad aids in telephone use by providing a comfortable place for the hearing aid to rest, reducing the chance of feedback or “whistling” when on the phone.  Available in square and round sizes, adhesive backing on the pad allows for secure placement on the phone receiver.

Battery Tester:
A must for any hearing aid wearer, this convenient, easy-to-use battery tester will eliminate throwing away good batteries because you aren’t sure if they are still working.  Simply insert the battery, and the tester will tell you if it needs to be replaced or not.
